The place
A whitewashed house on the hillside, with the sea on the horizon and an olive tree at the door.
Frigiliana sits at the edge of the Sierra Almijara, twenty minutes east of Nerja. Its Moorish old town is one of the most beautiful in Andalusia, and this is one of the few country houses you can rent on the hillside above it.

“A small but very stylish house, which we reached after some initial difficulties (with the local management). The equipment is more than sufficient. Great pool and outdoor area (barbecue and pizza oven). The drive up is a bit of an adventure, but the view more than makes up for it.”

Ein kleines aber sehr schickes Haus, welches wir nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten (mit der Verwaltung vor Ort) erreicht haben. Die Ausstattung ist mehr als ausreichend. Toller Pool samt Außenbereich (Grillstelle und Pizzaofen). Die Anfahrt gestaltet sich etwas Abenteuerlich, aber der Ausblick entschädigt umso mehr.

How do I book the house?
Through Ruralidays, our booking partner. There you'll see live availability and the exact price for your dates, and you book and pay in the same place.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Arrival instructions are sent to you through Ruralidays before your stay.
Is the pool private?
Yes. It's a 7.5 × 3.5 m saltwater pool, used only by your group. It isn't fenced and is 1.70 m at the deep end, so young children need an adult with them at all times.
Do I need a car?
Yes. No public transport comes up to the house, and the village, beach and shops are all a drive away. There is free parking for two cars next to the house.
Is there air conditioning?
No. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and the thick walls keep the house cool, but if you need air conditioning to sleep, July and August may not suit you.
When is the house open?
From March to November, with no minimum stay. Pets and smoking aren't allowed.
